9/10/2015 Summer RefelctionMy summer was very exciting. I traveled to very unique places that I have never thought that I would be able to go to. My favorite part of my summer adventures was when I traveled to Iceland. My family and I spent one week in the amazing country. The plane ride to Keflavik, Iceland, which is close to the capital, Reykjavik, was about five hours. We tried to avoid the large cities so we could sink our eyes into the Icelandic nature. We saw many things: blue whales, humpback whales, Vatnajokull, the largest glacier in Europe, reindeer, beaches filled with icebergs, where the North American and Eurasia plates split, and much more. We made a circle around the island, covering over 2,500 mi. This was definitely one of the most exciting and beautiful trips I have ever been on. I can't wait until I explore more of Iceland because what I saw was just the beginning. Below: a video including pictures from our trip to Iceland. |
